Lots of Labels

My goal for July was to label 4 previously finished quilts--3 minis and a throw.  It wasn't an exciting goal, but it had to be done and I was putting it off.  OMG gave me the push to get them all labeled.

I print my labels onto printer-ready fabric that I buy for this purpose.  I typically wait to print until I have 3 or 4 to do so I don't waste any of the fabric.  I used this method from Quiltmaker and back my labels with scraps of muslin.

  1. Congrats on getting all your quilts labeled. I do mine when I add the binding. I'd never go back if I didn't do them then.

  2. Congrats on getting all those labels done...sadly, it takes my upcoming guild quilt show to get me motivated sometimes to make lables!

  3. It seems that is something we have in common Emily, Congrats for getting your labelling up to date. I like how you added the border, like Kate I add mine when I add the binding, if they get a label that is (blush blush).

  5. I'm terrible at labeling quilts, so I'm really impressed that you are up to date with yours. Good for you!

  6. Good for you getting these done! Once I'm done a quilt I can never summon the energy to return to it and add a label.

  7. Great job getting the labeling job done! I usually make 10 or 12 labels at a time. Then they're ready to go while I'm sewing on the binding. Of course there's no personal quilt title in that situation. But for me, simple is the best way to get it done.
