Happy New Year! The start of the year is a common time to start new projects and it's also when quilting guilds will frequently start projects like round robins, BOMs, or other group quilting projects. Since we're still not a point where group gatherings or projects are advisable, Gail of Quilting Gail has organized a Stay At Home Round Robin.
Here's how it works: Instead of passing your project around to different quilters for a new round of a Round Robin, you make the whole quilt yourself. Start with your own center, as you likely would have done in any round robin. Gail has put together a group of 7 bloggers/hosts. Each will pick a block type and that is your next round--from there be as creative as you want. We'll start on January 11th, so there is time to think about your fabrics and your center. It will be fun and low-key.
Here are your hosts, in alphabetical order:
- Anja @ Anja Quilts
- Chris @ Chrisknitssews
- Emily @ The Darling Dogwood
- Gail @ Quilting Gail
- Roseanne & Sue @ Home Sewn by Us
- Susan @ Quilt Fabrication
- Wendy @ Pieceful Thoughts of my Quilting Life
I hope you consider sewing along with us!
Sounds like a lot of fun. I'll be watching how these all come together.
