Quilty Adoption: 3 Orphan Blocks

Cynthia from Quilting is More Fun Than Housework has this amazing idea--create a place to give away quilty projects you are no longer interested in.  She does it twice a year, and I used the one in the spring to pass on some things that I had not touched in years.

I have 3 leftover blocks from my I Spy Pink & Gray Snowflakes quilt (not yet blogged about).  It's not a lot, but I know I'm not going to use them.  It would be possible to make more; the block is from the Snowflake Quilt Along on the Bernina blog.

The adoption is for the 3 orphan blocks.  They are each 8 1/2" square.  I used Kona Snow for the background and I Spy fabrics in various shades of pink and gray for the blocks.

I will ship within the United States.  There is no requirement on what you do with the blocks.  If you would use them, leave me a comment by the end of the day on Thursday, September 22nd.  I will choose a random winner.

  1. fabric choices are the hardest thing for me. It is the hurdle in the race that I can't get over easily. I love to get blocks from others where their creativity has already made the hard choices. I make quilts to raise money for our school and the community with blocks given to me. I love working with other's works-- it takes the pressure off :) I would happily take your blocks
and create something fabulous with them that would support other's fundraising goals. Pick me! :) p.s. thank you for offering them up in the first place.

  2. I think they would make a great pillow. I am looking for projects to finish an donate to my quilting group's fundraiser for a better more durable longarm quilting machine. We need a machine that all members who want to use it can do so. It has to be easy to run and withstand use by multiple operators. Thanks. kthurn(at)bektel(dot)com
